Pretzelmaker Cards

At first glance this is just an ordinary pretzelmaker punch card from 1995...
...but hiding beneath the stack, there is an entire deck of face cards.
The summer after my senior year in high school I was hired to work at my dream job; Pretzel Artisan Extraordinaire at the local mall. I don't know how they stayed in business, I think I sold about 5 pretzels in the 6 weeks I worked there, and I probably ate at least 50.
During those long hours of waiting to sell those 5 pretzels, I created my own deck of pretzelmaker face cards. Me and my fellow artisans had a grand time behind the register playing mustard packet poker etc. "Oh no, here comes the manager"...flip "here we are innocently sitting by this ordinary stack of punch cards".
I really was a great employee, I promise!

This is one of my favorites. The scans are not that great, but I didn't have the time to scan them each individually. It was my little sister's birthday last week, and I sent her these cards as her gift. She has been requesting them for years, I hope she and Nate enjoy many hours of mustard packet poker. Happy Birthday Springaling!

Tell me which one is your favorite.

I have had a sick baby so my production level is down, and I am spending all my free moments working on some custom projects, so sorry about the crappy blogging. I will be posting a giveaway at the end of the week, so check back! Have a pretzelriffic day!

Brings Snowy memories back! I like Humpty and the Giraffe and the 2-toes foot - I love 'em all! Happy B-day Spring! And, when was the last time I posted anything on my blog?

where is the "fat and popular" design. i'm pretty sure it was those pretzelmaker days where the design came to you - and you and matthew both worked at the mall right? i loved that sweatshirt. too bad i have no idea where it is now. but there were many, many years of lots of fat & popularness. kisses.
