New Paintings - More Feathered Friends

I started on these paintings over a month ago, and finally finished them.
I have been needing a new painting of my sweet little fuzzheads. Here are Lucy and Jack floating along in the sweetheart swan.
Sweetheart Swan 8'x10"x1" Acrylic on Canvas
And as you might know, I have been a bit obsessed with owls lately,
and I finished these colorful twins

Owl Friends 9"x11 3/4" Acrylic on Masonite

And I just love this tree filled with the little wise guys. I can almost hear all the thoughtful hooting going on.

My Giveaway is Lip Smackin' Good!

Hi my friends!
I love lip gloss, who doesn't? But it has to be fabulous lip gloss or I don't use it.

Well, after many attempts to make the perfect lip smackin, yummy smelling, kissable lip gloss,
I have finally done it! At least I think so.
I call it "Lucy Lips" after my lovable Lucy character. The flavor is "Coco-Mint".
The Ingredients are: Organic Coconut Oil, Beeswax,
Peppermint Essential Oil, Vitamin E, Honey and Natural Coloring.
It has a very subtle color to it, so if a little rubs off on your significant other,
it won't leave a mark, so kiss away!

For this weekend's giveaway, I am gifting 4 tins of lip gloss to 4 lucky lip owners.

2 tins will be given on this blog, and the other 2 in the etsy forums. In order to enter on the blog, leave a comment on this post and on the night of Monday, August 25th, the random number generator will choose the 2 blog winners.
To enter in the etsy forums, just leave a post on my thread here, and the random number generator will once again choose 2 winners also on Monday night. I will contact the winners, so you don't have to be present to win.

Post as many times as you want, the more the merrier.
I am in love with this lip gloss! And it does make you more kissable, well it made me more kissable, ask my husband!

Thank you for visiting.

The owls have flown the coop!

Thank you everyone for your entries in the owl giveaway! The winner of Ollie in the etsy forums was Jessica of Beadbug Jewelry.
There will be another giveaway starting on Friday the 22nd, so check back.

I finished one of my custom projects I have been working on and thought I'd share them with you. You can probably guess who they are, but if you can't, they are Luke and Leia from Star Wars. They were fun to make, but my favorite part has got to be those fabu buns!

Winner of Otto! Keep going for Ollie!

Hello everyone, I am writing this from our hotel room and the Internet connection is, as my daughter would put it, slow as molasses in January. She usually uses that phrase when referring to how long it takes me to run errands in town.
Anyway, thank you everyone for your comments and giveaway entries! The winner of sweet little Otto is: katieg
The random number generator has spoken. Ollie is still up for grabs for lucky number 800 in the etsy forums! You can leave as many posts as you want, so post away and win that cute little guy.

I finally made some friends for Oliver! He was sold yesterday, and will soon be flying to his new home, so of course his owl pals want new homes too. There are two ways to win this weeks giveaway. One way is to comment on this blog, and the other is to be the 800th post on my thread in the etsy forums under promotions here. This is Otto, he has great fashion sense, and loves playing checkers. Otto
is the owl to be given to the blog winner
This is Oliander, but we call him Ollie for short. He likes skydiving and spicy food.
Ollie is the owl to be given to the etsy forums winner.
The Blog giveaway deadline is Tuesday, August 12, at 10pm MST and the winner will be chosen at random and announced Wednesday. The Etsy Forums winner will be whoever makes the 800th post on my thread in promotions. Good luck to you all, and if you aren't the lucky ones this week, check back for future giveaways. I hope I didn't leave out any details.

Pretzelmaker Cards

At first glance this is just an ordinary pretzelmaker punch card from 1995...
...but hiding beneath the stack, there is an entire deck of face cards.
The summer after my senior year in high school I was hired to work at my dream job; Pretzel Artisan Extraordinaire at the local mall. I don't know how they stayed in business, I think I sold about 5 pretzels in the 6 weeks I worked there, and I probably ate at least 50.
During those long hours of waiting to sell those 5 pretzels, I created my own deck of pretzelmaker face cards. Me and my fellow artisans had a grand time behind the register playing mustard packet poker etc. "Oh no, here comes the manager"...flip "here we are innocently sitting by this ordinary stack of punch cards".
I really was a great employee, I promise!

This is one of my favorites. The scans are not that great, but I didn't have the time to scan them each individually. It was my little sister's birthday last week, and I sent her these cards as her gift. She has been requesting them for years, I hope she and Nate enjoy many hours of mustard packet poker. Happy Birthday Springaling!

Tell me which one is your favorite.

I have had a sick baby so my production level is down, and I am spending all my free moments working on some custom projects, so sorry about the crappy blogging. I will be posting a giveaway at the end of the week, so check back! Have a pretzelriffic day!
