It's that time again!

Those of you that know me, know that I love any excuse to make a costume. I feel that we need a few more opportunities throughout the year to wear them, but I suppose I will settle for Halloween. I made the goal in Jr. High to go Trick-or-Treating every year of my life, and so far I have never missed a year. Silly goal I know, but I was always taught that setting goals and working to achieve them is a good thing! Here are pics of some of the costumes I have made over the years, I would love to hear which one is your favorite!

I just thought I'd post something for you to look at while I busily sew.
Check back for photos of this year's costume madness!

Hi there! I really love the first costume with all flowers. And growing up with the Carebears I really like those two as well...Sunshine and Grumpy. :D

Oh my goodness Star - you look exactly like Audrey Hepburn in that awesome costume. That is maybe my favorite. (my other favorite is grumpy bear - the costume's good but the face in the costume - to die for) You really put the WEE! in Halloween!! I am a bum. But you inspired me! I'm going to do something awesome this year. Hmmm....
Good job completing your goal. I made a goal in elementary - well a pact really with Sarah. We promised to never EVER be mature. I think we're doing great.

And my goal this year is to not buy or sew ANYTHING! You put me to shame.
I love the Audrey costume, too! Wow!

mia's reading over my shoulder, looking at the pictures saying, "I want to be that mom. a WOMAN CAT!" or "i'm gonna be a butterfly that looks like that!"
the thing that's good about kids is that she won't really know that she doesn't look like "that"
or at least i hope she won't!
i love love love them!

Hooray! I finally get to see the costumes and I am sooo impressed. They are all amazing, but my favorite has to be the Man With the Yellow Hat.

Wow! I love Halloween too, it is awesome! However, my costumes have never been so ambitious. I promised myself that this year I would try harder, but the end of the month is fast approaching, so we'll see!
I have to say, I love the one at the bottom in the middle. After reading the comments I guess it's LOTR, but I thought it looked like Snow White (which is awesome!!) ♥

i think you need to be a model, or a celebrity impersonator. you look just like liv tyler in that pic, as well as old audrey hepburn... you're amazingly talented, so sweet and so beautiful!

I don't get it! you're amazing! I really should have come over. I am so worried about bothering you, but I need some more "Star"dom in my life! You're so inspiring! I am so blessed to know you. On a more simmered down note...good job those are ok costumes, uh I guess.

Seriously Star! I just had a vision. This blog will be the gateway to discovery. Some movie maker is going to see what you can do and they're going to wisk you away to create amazing costumes...well they'll try. You won't stand for it because you're number one devotion is your family. They'll build a main studio in the Valley and they will work around your schedule because they know you are worth it. You'll design everything. Other women with talent that dims in your light will be ready, willing, dare I say aching to learn from your amazing talent. They'll do anything to learn from you! And they will, they'll be good but they'll never be able to recreate that amazing creative mind! It's definitely going to happen. I can see it all now! Don't give in, I know they want you badly enough, they'll let you only work 4 hours a week at great pay just to access some of your creative ability.

Hey Star! I came across your blog from The Big Sewing List and just had to let you know how much I love your things! Beautiful! I also had to laugh as you were the first sewing site with a little LOTR thing goin' on. ;) I uploaded my little "frodo" (from a few years ago) to my flickr to show you. Only one person in my ENTIRE neighborhood new who he was. Anyway, I would love for you to check it out - http://www.flickr.com/photos/byathread/3182293600/

Keep posting - would love to see more of your work.

Take care!
